Case Study: Family Garden in Brighton

A planting scheme with lots of perennial grasses and a lawn for children to play

A garden with Bounce!

Location: Brighton, East Sussex
Size: Suburban garden
Soil:Very thin soil over chalk

The Brief

To plant the garden with lots of perennial grasses for texture and movement. Lay a lawn for children to play.

The Challenges

The client for this garden is an interior designer and had already a vision/design for the garden before we were called in. Their trusted builder built the patio and slatted fence and dug in the new trampoline so our job was straight forward.

The garden had been used as a dumping ground for all the builders' equipment and materials so the soil had a lot of compacted soil with cement mixed into it. This was remedied by digging the whole of the garden, removing all cement and debris and adding lots of top soil and compost.

Garden Management

Ongoing maintenance when needed

The Verdict

Owen and his team did a fantastic job, looking exactly how we envisioned it
